As a wedding photographer in Charlotte I prefer taking wedding photos and bridals photos in almost any setting as long as it is beautiful and visually pleasing to a brides eyes when viewing wedding photos. Shortly after hiring me as their wedding photographer I took the photo above for a bridal portrait in 2006. It was actually taken in the brides backyard.

Prior to seeing the property I encouraged her that a bridal in her back yard would not be as beautiful as Freedom Park or the lake in University but as you can see in this picture I was wrong. After so many years that passed since their wedding I can easily say this is still one of my favorite wedding photos. As it pertains to this bridal photo it is very unique but I still would discourage backyard wedding photography or bridal shoots. I’ll touch more on it later this week.
