Wedding photography in your backyard for Charlotte wedding photographers is not something we recommend for most brides. Unless your backyard looks like this wedding photo from a Lake Norman bridal photo I took a few years ago. I thought about this because ironically last month 2 separate brides booked us as their North Carolina wedding photographers in Charlotte. Both weddings will take place in their back yard one is a Ballantyne wedding and the other is a wedding in Lake Norman.

A Ballantyne wedding and a Lake Norman wedding for a wedding photographer would still amount to a prestigious and beautiful wedding suitable for any portfolio wedding photography but most backyard weddings wont. A photographer friend of mine also booked a backyard wedding but his wedding location was not as appealing to most and he was somewhat disappointed. With that being said the reason I wrote this post is to say as a wedding photographer regardless of the wedding venue or appeal of the wedding location the skill and talent we possess as wedding photographers out weights the obstacles a less appealing wedding location can provide. Always do your best and a backyard wedding will look like a destination wedding.
