As a wedding photographer in Charlotte I love taking photos in beautiful wedding venues and churches. In some cases the better the venue the more creative the wedding photos. For me as a photographer in Charlotte that focuses on weddings I think that the better the venue more photography ideas and options are open. With that being said it is not hard to think of my feelings when I hear someone say they are having a wedding in their backyard. It almost makes me cringe. As a person that loves to showcase our work as wedding photographers when I hear it is a backyard wedding I frequently pass on shooting it. This is why this past wedding is something to amazing. It taught me a lot about hosting a wedding in your backyard. When I first booked this client I did not know it was at their home in Waxhaw. If I knew I don’t think I would have photographed their wedding because of the location but boy I was wrong. That is the reason I wanted to feature this weddings in our wedding look back. As I look back on their wedding photos I think about a lesson I learned from their wedding photography. It is not the location of the wedding it is what the location looks like. This is something that can be applied to many wedding venues and locations
