As a wedding photographer we love to utilize props and different things around us to add more value to each wedding photo we take. Sometime we have to use the elements. In this particular wedding photo the bride was extremely sad because of the rain and did realize it was going to provide for an award winning wedding photo. I remember this wedding like yesterday and feeling bad after seeing how upset she was due to the rain. Personally I wasn’t worried because in wedding photography we frequently have to make something from nothing and as wedding photographers we have to be creative. When arriving at their Charlotte wedding venue Byron’s Southend I already had an idea of what I might do. I asked if someone had an umbrella and if she was afraid to go outside in her wedding dress with the rain. The end result ended with us taking some award winning wedding photos.
